To have faith, you must be able to stretch yourself to the one you cannot see or prove. This is done by faith and prayer. Your faith lives as long as your prayers do not cease. If there are mountains in your life that need to be moved, only God can move these mountains. It is through faith and prayer to our Lord Jesus and His intercession to God that will move God to remove the mountains from our lives. Through your faith in Him and prayer to Him, He is able. God works His will in our lives, when our faith and will becomes His. Our faith in Jesus is our foundation as a Christian. As we build our faith in Jesus through our prayers, our foundation becomes stronger and more secure.
When we cease to pray continually for our faith, we weaken our foundation and it becomes unguarded. Leaving our faith unguarded will invite Satan to slip in and sift us as wheat. In (Luke 22:31-32) Jesus gives us this example as He says to His disciple: “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have you that he might sift you like wheat, but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail; and when you have turned again, strengthen your brethren.”
Without the continual prayer for our faith to Jesus, our faith becomes unguarded and we set ourselves up for a fall. Jesus is always there to intercede for us. We must faithfully not cease to pray so that we to are able to turn again to strengthen our brethren.
Building our faith through prayer is building a foundation for which all of our spiritual life stands upon. Without the foundation of faith through prayer, our spiritual life will crumble and the first sign of the enemy. Through faith in God all things are possible because nothing is impossible with God. Cease not to continually pray for your faith, and wait on God to move that mountain.
